Resolver Status Display Issue in Portal (No Impact on DNS Services)

We experienced an issue where resolver statuses in our Admin portal were not accurately reflecting their real-time state. Specifically, only the APAC-01 region was affected, with resolvers incorrectly marked as “connected” or “unavailable” due to a backend issue. Additionally, resolver metrics were unavailable in the Admin portal due to a missing syslog. Despite these display problems, DNS resolution services continued to operate normally.
Resolution
Our engineering team identified and resolved the backend issue affecting the status updates. Accurate resolver statuses are now being displayed in the Admin portal.
Next Steps
This was not the first occurrence of this issue. To prevent similar incidents in the future, we have defined the following steps.
- Implementing additional monitoring and alerting mechanisms to detect and address such issues promptly.
- Conducting a thorough post-incident analysis to identify any further areas for improvement.
